Certified Council Approvals for Your Concrete Swimming Pool

Before construction begins, a building permit application must be lodged with your local Council. At Perth Concrete Pools, we manage the entire application process for you, including Engineering, Water Corporation approval, Construction Training Fund statutory fees, and Certificate of Design Compliance.

Our applications are certified by trusted industry professionals, ensuring compliance with Western Australian building standards and regulatory requirements.

EXCAVATION

Precision Excavation for Every Pool Site

Each pool is carefully excavated using construction-grade machinery such as excavators, dumpers, and bobcats to achieve the exact shape and depth specified in your design.

For properties with restricted or narrow access, we can accommodate the site using specialised machinery such as mini-excavators and mini-bobcats, ensuring no location is too challenging for us to bring your dream pool to life.

THE SHELL

Engineered Concrete Pool Shells Built to Last

Your pool shell is constructed with precision and durability in mind, strictly following engineering specifications. Using timber formwork, corrugated iron, and S12 high-strength steel reinforcement, we create a strong and long-lasting structure.

For pools near boundaries or existing buildings, we provide double steel reinforcement and 230mm thickened concrete walls to ensure safety, compliance, and structural integrity.

PLUMBING AND CONCRETE

Bringing Your Pool Design to Life

Before spraying the concrete, our expert team installs all plumbing lines and light fittings to your specifications. The pool shell is then sprayed with 32 MPa concrete at a minimum thickness of 150mm, forming the walls, steps, and seating areas.

The shape is skilfully hand-cut by experience trades, bringing your pool design to life. Once complete, the site is backfilled and compacted to secure the structure before finalising all plumbing connections.

TILE AND HEADERS

Premium Pool Tiles & Coping for a Stylish Finish

We finish your pool with premium waterline tiles applied to the top 200mm or 300mm of the pool walls, followed by the installation of coping (pool headers) to frame and protect the pool edges.

We collaborate with trusted suppliers such as Ceramic Tile Supplies and Freo Stone to offer a wide range of stylish tiles and headers, including mosaics, natural stone, and contemporary large-format tiles.

PRE-INTERNAL FINISH

Preparing for a Flawless Pool Interior

Before applying the internal finish, a compliant pool barrier must be installed in accordance with Australian Standards.

Rainbow Quartz plaster is applied to create a smooth, high-quality internal finish to the concrete shell.

A light acid wash enhances the colour, leaving a vibrant and luxurious finish ready to be filled with water.

EQUIPMENT HANDOVER AND INSTALLATION

Once your pool is nearing practical completion, we install a premium filtration system to keep your pool running efficiently and hassle-free.

As part of our service, our pool maintenance professional will provide a detailed equipment demonstration and chemical balance, ensuring you understand how to operate and maintain your pool with confidence.
